November wants

Okay so having not blogged in a week *slaps back of hand*, I thought I'd do a slightly longer than normal post:) I did a 'wants' post in September and it quite popular, so I thought I'd do another!

First is something I am so so so desperate for! This is the No7 boots advent calendar. I actually did a whole post on beauty advent calendars here, and this one is the cheapest of the beauty ones available,  and No7 can really do some great products. I was going to buy it because I saved a bit of money for it, but they don't have them in the boots that is 'local' and close to me, so I will buy it whenever I go into town next, but I doubt they will have any left then:( Anyway, for those who don't know, it has 25 (I think, it might be 24!) different No7 beauty products for you to open everyday in December leading up to Christmas. I just think it is a great idea and something to look forward to!

I saw this scarf in 'Miss Selfrigde' the other day but I didn't have any money on me, but it is super nice and wintery! It is £16 but these are really in fashion in the minute. They are actually one of those fashion items that won't make you freeze to death though! Which is always a positive!

In case you didn't notice, I slightly love Christmas (too much) and I am really excited for it! I have a Christmas jumper with a penguin on I think, but to tell you the truth, I really want another one to wear in December! This one is cute, but I honestly don't care which one I get, I just want another one!!

I am a huge lover of candles, even though my mum doesn't really let me have them, but I really want a Christmassy smelling candle, to get me feeling festive! I think these scents add to the atmosphere when you are snuggling in blankets or watching a Christmassy film!

The Kate Moss lipstick is something that I have been wanting for literally months! I have never really got around to buying it because something always comes first, or I didn't have enough money etc. However, they are well known for being good lipsticks and a lot of the shades are very autumnal and I really just want one!!

These 'Real Technique' brushes were actually in my original 'wants' post, and I still haven't got around to buying them! I am desperate to get them and I honestly think I might order them at the weekend. Every time I do my make-up, I look at my other brushes, thinking how lonely they must be, and how they must really want some purple friends! I have really got into eye shadow recently and I would just love some decent brushes! This is the one thing on my list that I am 100% going to be buying!

So last on my wants list is this 'Body Shop' foundation. This is a very new want for me, but when I was in town the other day (with no money!) I came across this beauty, and I found a foundation shade that was honestly the best match for my skin that I have ever come across! It is £13 and I was actually looking for a foundation because mine was running out, but I had to go for a slightly cheaper option because of the limited money! This is definitely a future purchase though! You know when you just casually fall in love with an item because it is so perfect? Yeah that is me with this foundation!

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed reading a few things from my current list! xxxx

LUSH shooting for the stars bath bomb

Hi guys! I have been really bad at posting regularly at the moment and I feel quite bad about it! When I started blogging about a month and a half ago, I couldn't get enough of it and I almost felt like I was writing too many posts! I still love it, but I just can't find the time since starting back school, and I really don't want to rush a post just to make sure there is one up because it will probably be rubbish! I'm going to try and do 2 posts a week now, and to get some type of routine going!

Anyway!! Just a quick review/talk about the 'Shooting for the stars' bath bomb from Lush. I featured this in my Lush haul post recently.

I think the word to describe this bath bomb when you put it in the water is 'wow'! It really makes your bath tub look like a night's sky, but with bolder colours! I think that it looks so pretty and eye catching before even putting it into your bath, with bright yellow, bits of purple and many shades of blue on show! When I walked into my Lush shop it definitely got my attention!

Sorry for the poor quality photo here but as you can see, colour kind of exploded from this bath bomb within seconds of it being in the water! It is one of the prettiest bath bombs that I have watched fizzle in the bath! I quickly realised that this one was quite slow from Lush, as it takes a while to fully dissolve, but it definitely puts on a show whilst you are waiting! I actually only noticed once I got into the bath that there were tiny bits of silver glitter, that were obviously hidden inside of the bath bomb. I probably should have expected glitter from the title really, but it was quite a nice surprise actually, because they weren't the really big stars that stick to you or anything!

Once the water has finally settled, it turns a very dark blue colour, with faint hints of yellows, light blues and purples. These colours added with the tiny silver bits make your bath tub look truly magical!

As you might have noticed from previous posts, I am really bad at describing smells, and it doesn't really help how I like most smells when it comes to baths and other body products!! The smell was noticeable but not too overwhelming, and it was quite sweet. It has a very very faintly smell of honey in my opinion!! My skin felt so smooth and soft after this bath and it stayed like that for a few days!

The only negative I would have to mention with this bath bomb is that your bath will become covered in glitter after you empty the water! I came to clean the bath the next morning (because my mum is a neat freak and I would have had to clean it anyway!) and was shocked by the amount of glitter everywhere! It was easy to come off but be warned! Also, I think this is only a Christmas stock item, but it didn't really strike me as Christmassy at all if I'm honest!

I would definitely get this bath bomb again, and the glitter didn't bother me too much because it didn't stick to me and therefore I didn't spread glitter across the whole house!! For £3.50 it is definitely worth it!
Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed it!:)

Also, I was wondering what people enjoy reading the most from my blogs? I enjoy writing any type of blog post but if particular ones are not as interesting or vice versa then I'd love to know what you would like to see more of in the future:)

The Liebster Award

First of all I'd like to thank Sophie from themoonlust for The Liebster Award! She has a really lovely blog and you should check it out!

Rules
-Answer the questions that are sent to you
-Nominate 10 bloggers who have under 200 followers on twitter
-Ask them 12 questions of your own
-Notify them that they've been nominated

My answers

1. If you could own a house anywhere in the world where would it be?
Either in the Maldives, mainly because it is so beautiful and I have always wanted to go there, or somewhere like New York!

2. Who is your biggest inspiration?
I have never really had that 1 person who 100% inspire me (if that makes any sense?) I am inspired and encouraged by a collection of people though, such as people who really work to get where they are and to achieve what they do. This will probably sound weird but my older brother kind of inspires me purely because he worked so hard to get the grades he did in his A levels 2 years ago, and it honestly inspires me to work harder and do my best!
A bit of a long winded answer there!!

3. If you could have a dinner party with any 3 living or dead celebrities who would they be?
Leonardo DiCaprio , George Villiers/Duke of Buckingham and Emily Davidson

4. Your reasons why.
-Leonardo DiCaprio just because he is the sexiest thing to walk this planet. Just saying!!;)

-This is my inner history geek coming out now. George Villiers was basically James I's boyfriend a(1600's kind of time era) and he had such a huge role in making England's decision. He was a bit of an idiot though and everyone hated him (he got stabbed eventually) but I have learnt so much about him that I would just love to meet him.

-You might have heard about Emily Davidson, but she was the woman in around 1910 (I think it was just after) who through herself under the King's horse to make people take notice of her campaign. She fought for the Suffragettes to try and get women better right, but primarily the vote. I'm not going to give you a history lesson but she basically got herself killed, contributing to women getting the vote. I believe in equal rights for men and women, and even though this is legally in place in Britain, it isn't socially, so I get a bit argumentative when people are sexist and stuff!!

5. What is your favourite season?
100% summer

6. What is the best advice you have ever been given?
I actually can't think of any advise I have been given:/ The best advice I have given to someone else though would probably be to do what makes you happy.

7. What inspires you to run a blog?
I don't really know, but I saw people's like Zoella's and Sprinkleofglitter's blogs and I thought I'd give it a try!

8. What bloggers do you admire?
Well there is Zoella who has just achieved so much, and I have been reading her blogs for many years! I have recently come across The Little Plum and everything she puts up is just so professionally done, but still so fun and it is just a great blog! I also really like Style Sunrise. I read all of her posts!!

9. If you could only wear one outfit for the rest of your life what would it be?
I think it would have to either be someone really comfy, like a onesie, or leggings with a nice kimono or something similar!

10. Favourite song of the year.
Classic by MTKO. I have heard it about a million times and I never get tired of it!

11. 3 make up items you couldn't live without.
Powder, mascara and eyeliner

12. Sweet or savoury?
Sweet all the way

My questions
1. Who is your celebrity crush?
2. What is your favourite makeup brand?
3.What do you want your blog to be like/achieved in a years time?
4.Why did you start blogging?
5. If you only had one more day to live, what would you spend that day doing?
6. What is your dream job?
7. If you could have any superpower what would it be and why?
8. Your favourite thing about autumn?
9. Have you got any unusual skills? If so, what?
10. In your opinion, what are the top 3 qualities anyone can have?
11. What is the proudest moment in your life? (so far!)
12. Lip stick or nail polish?

I nominate:

I hoped you enjoyed this post and thanks for reading:) xxxx

Lush haul

Okay, so I haven't been shopping (properly) in a good 2 months, mainly because I have no time, but also because I don't usually have the money, so when I decided to go to town with my friend the other day, I just had to visit Lush! However, for someone with very little money, I spent a bit more than anticipated! Anyway, I thought I'd just show you what I brought and I will probably do reviews on some of the product!

'Drummer's Drumming' Bubble bar-£5.25
Okay, so I will I admit that I primarily brought this because it looks cool! I mean, just look at it, it has bells on it and everything!! It is pink on one side and bright yellow on the other, and you just swish it into your bath water to create bubbles, either whilst the tap is still running or you can wait until the water is fully run. It smells quite faintly or strawberries and cream, and it make your bath smell delicious! I have actually already used this one in a bath I had the other day, and I would definitely advice it! The lovely lady in the shop said you can get around 5-6 uses out of it, so for just over £5, that isn't bad!

'Fresh Farmacy' Facial Soap- £4.95 for 100g
Next is this facial soap, which I had no intentions of finding and then buying! I was talking to one of the people who worked there when she asked what type of skin I have. When I described my oily and spot prone skin she advised this, which apparently reduces the redness of spots and acne scars, as well as making your face less oily. At this stage I thought 'why the hell not' because she basically described what my skin needed!

'Love Lettuce' face mask- £6.50
I have never tried a face mask from Lush before, but I wanted to go in and buy the 'Cupcake' face mask, as a blogger recommended it to me. However, the person who helped me said that the 'Love Lettuce' mask (weird name, I know) would be best for my skin and it works nicely with oily skin. It has a faint smell of lavender, and I have to be honest and say that I'm not the biggest fan of lavender, but because I have never ventured into Lush's face masks before, I felt like I had been thrown in at the deep end, therefore just buying what the lady advised!!
It has a nice consistency and after using it just once, I can say that it really did help reduce the levels of oil in my T zone.

'Shoot for the stars' Bath bomb- £3.50
I have heard about this bath bomb a few times online, and when I saw it in store I was intrigued and felt the need to buy it! It looks so pretty and apparently it is like a "galaxy in your bath!" It smells so good! I can't really describe it but it is quite a sweet smell with possibly a hint of honey?! Either way it is beautiful and has an amazing smell!

'Golden Wonder' Bath bomb- £3.75
I think it safe to say that I LOVE Christmas! Just everything about it makes me happy (except the cold weather)!!! The music, films, spending time with family and friends, the shopping! This bath bomb just smells like you would expect a bath bomb to smell like! It doesn't smell particularly like Christmas as such, but I think it is safe to say that the lack of Christmas smells are made up for in the design! It stood out from all of the other bath bombs in the shop because it just looks stunning!
I am very excited to use this one, but also a bit nervous because my hands got covered in glitter just from taking it out the packaging to take photos of it!

I know some people will be thinking that I didn't spend that much money, because I have seen some people's hauls where they have practically brought everything in the shop! I don't want to even think about how much money some people spent in their hauls! I would love to be able to spend as much money as I felt like in Lush (and I could easily spend too much) but the £24 this costs me, which was probably more than I should have, judging by how much money I have left! There were so many things in there that I wanted sooo badly, but I simply hadn't got the money. I literally had to put some bath bombs back because I couldn't afford them all!:(

Thanks for reading! I really love it when people leave comments and feel free to follow me on bloglovin!

Oh and what do you think to the new packaging? It's very, ummm, bright shall we say?!!

Review: L'oreal L'Extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick

I thought I'd do a short review on the 'L'Oreal L'Extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick' today. If I'm honest, I had no idea that it had such a jazzy name until I just searched it, but it I think it is rather classy!!
The first thing I want to say about this 'liquid lipstick' is that I really like the packaging! I think it is not too much and too in your face, but it isn't plain and boring! It has a screw on lid as you apply it like a lip-gloss, and it is all gold except for the 'section' (I couldn't think of the write word!!) of colour shown above, and the same colour is put on the top and the bottom.

When I first applied it I was like (and I quote) "whooo...". Lets just say it was quite bright and I wasn't expecting that from the colour shown on the container. However (as seen above above) I tend to remove excess with a tissue or my finger to make a shiny pink colour that isn't too bright.

The pictures above and below show what it looks like before I remove excess (on the right) and after (on the left).
It doesn't look as though there is a huge difference here but it is normally a lot brighter than the picture on the right is showing when I first apply it!

The actually consistency of this lip-gloss is quite thick and the only criticism I have is that it feels quite sticky and heavy on your lips. Having said that though, it lasts an incredibly long time. The initial bright colour doesn't last more than an hour in my experience, but the softer pink left afterwards can easily last an evening, but I would advice topping it up at some point, just to not leave your lips too bare!

Oh, and a cheeky selfie!;) Looking good, I know!!;)

Overall I would say that this is a good lip product, but I don't find myself using it that often, probably because the colour I got (Rose Melody) only goes with a few of my things, and I often opt for more of a nude colour with most of my outfits. This can actually be brought in 9 colours though so the product itself is worth buying in my opinion, but if I were to buy another one, I think I would either buy a really out there colour like a deep red, or the complete opposite and go for a nude. I don't think the in-between colours suit me too well!
It costs £8.99 but I swear I bought it for less! Maybe I had a voucher or something! I don't think I would buy another one of these for this price but it is still a lot cheaper than some other alternatives!!

As usual, thanks for reading and your comments genuinely make my day!

Favourite apps

**Sorry that the photos are so bad quality! I take photos on my iphone normally, but I obviously couldn't take a photo of the app because they're on my phone, so I had to get images from online and I couldn't find any non-blurry ones!!**

This is completely un-beauty related but I kind of felt like doing a 'my favourite apps' blog post today.

Vinted
This app is similar to ebay, but it is made specifically for clothes. People can create an account and can then either buy clothes that other people have put up for sale, or you can sell clothes yourself. The app is so easy to get your head around, and you can either just browse in general, or you can be more specific in what you are looking for. It allows you to narrow down your search but choosing a category (e.g. dresses, shoes, skirts etc) and from there you can choose a size, colour, brand, maximum prize and how often it has been worn. Often they haven't been worn at all so you are effectively getting new clothing for a fraction of the price. Most things are relatively cheap, and definitely far cheaper that you would get them in shops!

I have never brought anything from here because my mum is a bit funny about me buying stuff online, so I simply browse and torture myself by seeing all of the amazing clothing that I can't buy, even thought they're at such amazing prices! Because I have never brought anything before though, I am not sure how well the process works of getting the items you have brought, but I haven't heard any complaints about it!

I actually came across 'Vinted' through one of Niomi Smart's videos, where she mentioned this app in a favourites video. Along with this she gave a discount code of 'Niomi' to get £7 off one of your purchases. This was at least a month an a half ago I think, so I don't know how long this code would work for but if you do get the app and see something you like, then it's worth a try!! And the app was free which is always good!

Mallzee
This is another shopping app, but the difference is that you can look at what actual brands are selling. My friend told me about this app and I only started using this the other day but I worked out how to use it within about 3 minutes! It is such a simple concept but it works so well!

The way it works is by you registering first of all, which I'm guessing is so that if you buy something they know how to contact you etc. You can then continue but going onto the 'brands' section of this app, where you can select a particular shop you may want to buy something from. I have personally been loving 'Boohoo', 'Converse', 'Miss Selfridge', 'Misguided' and 'New Look'.

There are about 70 different brands to choose from, which is a lot of choice, and it becomes an excellent way to spend your time when you should be doing other things, e.g. school work!! ;) New Look is one of my all time favourite shops, and I have brought about 5 pairs of converse before, but I had never even thought of shopping at places such as 'Boohoo' and I hadn't actually heard of 'Misguided' before! Even though I'm not allowed to order online, (blaming my mother, again!!) I have found a really lovely dress from Boohoo which I am going to try and convince my mum that I need (because that will work!!) so that I can get it!

The simplicity of this app is truly one of the best things, as once you have selected a brand, an item of clothing or something from that shop appears on the screen, where you can 'evaluate' it (that's not quite the right word!!) and decide if you like it or not. If you are simply browsing, like me, then you can ignore the 'buy' option and either swipe the photo of an item that comes onto your screen to the left or to the right! To the left means you don't like it and don't want to save it, and to the right means this item will be saved for you, for you to look at again later!

'Mallzee' has honestly been one of my favourite apps recently, even if I did only get it the other day! It is such a great app to just browse through and you can spend any time from a few minutes to hours, looking through different brands and items of clothing! It has a filter so that you can specify what type of clothing, size or whatever you want. I would highly suggest this app to anyone wanting an easy way to compare items from shops without having to open a million and one different tabs on your computer!!

Flipagram
This could be one of my favourite apps ever if I'm honest! I don't use it all of the time, and I sometimes forget about it, but it is great after an event or something has happened.

For those of you who don't know what 'Flipagram' is, it is an app which allows you to collect some of the pictures you have on your phone, instagram, facebook etc, to make them into a short film that is normally no more than 30 seconds long. It enables you to change the length of time that each photo lasts for, add music and even special effects.

As a teenage, I am frequently running out of storage on my phone, and this is normally down to music or photos. However, I am one of those people who doesn't like to get rid of any photos on my phone, just for the memories (even if I have already put them on my laptop!!) With this app though, I combine all of my favourite photos from one time period or event and I then can delete the photos from my phone, because I can look at the short video I have made instead! It makes me smile to look back at some of the things I have done this year and I was literally grinning like a Cheshire cat looking at them all just before I wrote this!!!

I haven't actually made this sound like the amazing app it is, but it honestly is so good!! Just try it once and you won't regret it! Like I said, I don't use it all the time, but I look at the videos I have already made quite frequently, which always cheers me up if I'm feeling down! My first video using 'Flipagram' was of my school trip to Berlin, and I have made others of my birthday, days out with my friends, my family holiday and more! You will see certain photos you forgot about, that will make you smile!!

Hill Climb Racing
I'm going more into the gaming side of things now! I have somehow managed to practically write essays for the other apps so I will try and make these not quite as long!

I have always been a lover of games, but about a week ago I realised that I only had 2 games on my phone, which is a surprising low amount for me! I got this app about 6 months ago and loved it, but completed the large majority of the game, so I therefore deleted it to clear some room on my phone (coming back to the 'I need more storage' point!) I decided to re-download it because my brother actually got it on his iPod, and it reminded me of how fun it can actually be! You're probably thinking that I am quite sad right now because it is in fact, just a game, but it is great! You basically have 2 buttons; gas and brake, and you just go along different 'settings' and you can gain coins and unlock different vehicles and terrains so it is a fun little game! I would say that this game is quite good at de-stressing you, well it is for me anyway! I think because you have to put a tiny bit of concentration into the game, but not too much, it manages to distract you from whatever you are stressed about, and when you come back to that task you tend to feel a lot calmer!

Kim Kardashian: Hollywood
Okay, I'm sure that a large number of you have heard about this game! I'm a bit late on the bandwagon with this particular one, but I really love it now! My best friend initially suggested it to me, saying it was amazing, but I hadn't got enough storage (I think we have come to the conclusion that I need more storage on my phone!!!!) so I put it off for a while! It is just one of those progress games where you create a little story for yourself whilst rising to fame! I really do enjoy it and it makes great entertainment when, once again you are meant to be doing work!

Because I have started using it later than everyone else though, they have made improvements to the game that weren't there before. My friend who suggested the app has finished the game now, but when she was using it she didn't have some of the options that the game now offers and she was a bit jealous that I will have this choice now!

The only other thing I will say is that I downloaded this about 2 months ago, and deleted it within the day because I thought it would be really boring and repetitive, but because of the vast amount of positive reviews back from this game, I thought I would give it another go, and I'm so glad I did!!

Thanks for reading this ridiculously long and most likely boring piece! I thought I'd do something a little different because I have downloaded a few different apps within the last week! I love reading your comments so feel free to leave one:) xxx

These app are all free and you can find them on the app store. The links are below:

Beauty Advent Calendars 2014

This is completely random, and you're probably thinking that it we're only just into October, let alone December. However, I am superly duperly (I'm aware that neither of those are words!!) excited for Christmas this year for some unknown reason. I, among many others, watched Zoella's vlogmas videos last year. In these videos she had a whopping total of 5 advent calendar! (Admittedly, only 2 of them were chocolate one but still!!!) She purchased the body shop's '24 days of joy' beauty calendar, a well as Benefit's 'Countdown to love' calendar.

I never knew that beauty advent calendars was a thing until I saw these vlogs, but the moment I saw them I fell in love with them, and the idea popped into my head the other day again, and now I just want them all!!
Anyway, I need to stop rambling! I thought I would do this just to introduce it to some of you guys, if you haven't already heard of them, and mention the ones that have caught my eye!

'The Best of the Body Shop, 24 days of joy' -£50.00
This (or the No7 one) has to be the one I want the most! Firstly, it just looks so pretty!! The design is amazing and it makes me feel so Christmassy! After the amazing reviews it had last year, people will be expecting big things this year. It contained some of their actual, fully sized products, instead of tiny testers like some other calendars did last year. You are looking at £50 for this calendar though, which I personally can't justify myself spending (even though I really badly wish I could)!! I am ever so slightly desperate for this one after how much you get for your money, but if you are looking to get one then I would put this very highly on your list! They also sold out quite quickly I think so if you do want this then you will probably have to grab one quickly when they are released!!

No7 '25 days of Beauty Secrets' -£35
Like I just said, I think this is joint top with the Body Shop's calendar. Boots did their first advent calendar last year and it went down really well. This year they have decided to do it all on No7 beauty items. It is a little cheaper so I am still debating as to whether to treat myself or not! Boots have claimed that the value of the products you get it £130 so you definitely get your moneys worth! The other problem for me is that it isn't as pretty as the Body Shop's calendar though which puts me off ever so slightly! I would almost go as far as saying that I really don't like how it looks!

Ciate Mini Mani Manor nail polish advent calendar -£49
I think that the design of this one is so incredibly pretty! It makes me feel so festive and I love the opening doors to reveal the house design thing they have got going on! This beauty calendar consists of only nail varnishes, but from last years reviews, they are all a really good size and they are of a good quality too. It is on the pricey side again and I won't be buying this one this year, but maybe in the future I will save up money all year long or something and buy about 5!!

Benefits Cosmetics -£60
Again, I can't justify spending this much money on an advent calendar, but doesn't it look so pretty?!! Last years design by Benefits was probably one of my favourites that I have seen, but it was a huge disappointment to many people. £60 is a lot of money, especially if you're spending it on something that isn't worth it. Many of the items included testers that you can get free over the counter and a few 'make-do' items such as a heart on a piece of string, that was called a 'necklace'! For £60 I think that is unacceptable to be perfectly honest and I would have been so annoyed if I had spent my money on that! Having said that, they have changed the door sizes this year, which many people said would have made the product better. So maybe they've learned from their mistakes???

Thanks for reading and just writing this has made me feel incredibly festive, even if it is the beginning of October! I would love to know if anyone knows of any others and if they got one in previous years!
